The Friends of the Library are citizens who value the service of the North Logan City Library and volunteer to help in various ways. Friends work closely with the library staff and director and Board of Trustees to help with the library’s plans, progress, and challenges.
Individually and collectively, Friends use their influence to assist the library in obtaining donations from the community or institutions. We represent the library point of view to local government, academic leadership, legislators and the media. Some events sponsored by the Friends to help raise funds: these include book sales, 24th of July breakfast at Elkridge Park, golf tournaments, and more. The Friends group also maintains the Book Nook, a separate room within the library whereby patrons may purchase used books for all ages at very reasonable costs.
Donations have come from children’s nickels and dimes, family donations, local business grants, art organization grants, and from endowment funds over a ten-year period through The Friends of the North Logan Library organization.
To become a member of the Friends, send a check or money order for $5.00 to the North Logan City Library, 475 East 2500 North, North Logan, UT 84341. Dues entitles one to membership for one year, from January to December, of the calendar year in which the dues are received.
